I'm here once in a while but barely holding it together.

My procedure for the throat dilation is tomorrow and I can't tell you how bad I feel. Sometimes I just shake and yes, I have been cold too. The swelling in my mouth, jaw and tongue is horrendous and the constant choking feeling is just plain scary.

You have been on my mind though

and your whole family. It's a really challenging time for all of you.

went well - could have been better if my arrows had been ok

I'm waiting since march for new ones that fit to my bow

hard to be good with rotten material - but considering that I was

oh...i been cold, too...and yesterday, after working outside and running around doin' errands, i got a headache and nausea...i tink i dehydrated (allays slurpizes me, when it SUDDENLY gets cold, and indoor heating dries out your skin/mucous membranes and such-like)...

so...today is my mom's birthday...she would have been 82 (she died in 2002)

so...i haz this song (Elton John) for her:

Don't you make your own arrows yet? It actually works out to be a lot cheaper

and you don't need to buy a fletching machine or anything ... I just use styrofoam supports.

It's also really nice because you can tweak the aerodynamics of the shaft and fletching to suit your bow and style. It took me a couple of weeks to figure out what I liked but is really worth it

Besides Buddy... and Aunt Bonnie (amember her?

)... and now Aunt Sandy (who I learnt broke her tibia & fibula just above the ankle... not the actual ankle)... we have just found out that Aunt Ruth & Uncle John (90 & 93) are barely getting by.

I thinks I'ze gonna go over & check on them tomorrow & see what we can help them do.

up.. and down... hour by hour. He did get out to Mom's van today & they drove him out to the farm (where he's been in his head most of the time).

And then later he took 3 steps with the walker & his legs buckled, but this time Mom got a chair under him before he fell.

We cooked all morning but have barely eaten a bite.

Cooked turnips & turnip greens & sweet potatoes all fresh for us & for 'them' over at Buddy's house.

Made fried peach pies for us & for 'them'.

Cooked snap peas for us for freezer & more turnips for us for freezer & english peas for us for freezer.

All before 11 o'clock.

thing is .. I don't have access to the material..

there are NO shops around here where you can buy what you need after you try-out or jsut ask about it

so.. i wait and wait until the "trainer" (he isn't really training me but has the papers for it) has finally gotten some
(seems he doesn't get them easily delivered too - production problems in Italy and Korea etc).

and I'm not going to go in the woods and cut down some twigs and use those

zanna... my hubby has probelms like you too - just not as bad (and he doesn't eat grapes) = stomach flu

I forgots to mention the beets.

Peeled about a hunnerd teensy beets from marble to golfball size.

Yesterday we cleaned out everything from the gardens except the snow peas. Just DONE for the year.

Sun...

I hate that it now gets dark by 5pm.

'um...i been listening to the radio, and just happened to hear Your Song...it is interesting how a song can take on different meanings at different times in ones life...well, i been crying a bit, and carrying on, living the dream...SUDDENLY, the theme song from Soul Train was playing... i got up from paring fruit in the kitchen, and started dancing wildly...i laughed as i saw some robins move in closer to the window to check me out...
