So... a really, really,
really bad night turned into a really, really good day.

Condensed version:
Restless night, bad toe, lots of pain & B 'lost it' & demanded some form of relief.
The nurses gladly woke the doctor who prescribed Loritab & then Buddy slept soundly for 4 straight hours.

Woke up with a 'good buzz on'

... sh*t-eating grin & full of stories for me.

Come to find out the doctor had been begging to prescribe something & the nurses had been aggravated & it was Zen Aunt who had continuously refused.

She was afraid that the drugs would make him 'unmanageable'.
Also, after sleeping he was able to stand up without assistance (still slow and unsteady with a walker) for the first time in over a week. I

ed for him & he got tickled though he admitted to not remembering that he hadn't been able to do it before.
It seems that in a couple days we are taking him home.
The doctor, nurses, everyone, has said that it won't work but Zen Aunt HAS to try before he goes to the nursing home so we are going along.
Gonna get interestinger.
While he was sleeping soundly today he instinctively put down the foot of the recliner & began to get up.

I would just lift the recliner leg thingy back up & gently push him back in the chair & he was never aware of anything.

He's gonna hafta be strapped in &/or watched like a hawk.
It's ok... everything has been playing out as it will.
