There are 8 of us, willing & able. A nursing home is not an option unless he requires more than anyone could handle. That's already been decided, unanimously.

He's a fun & easy patient. He was still cracking jokes today.

And he still loves to tell stories of very old times.

Meantime, back at THIS ranch, I prolly am taking the laptop in again to pawn in about hour and half's time. Someone promised to send some assistance, then disappeared. Hate it when that happen. All they can say is that they cant do it anymore, and then I know not to count on it, and make other arrangements. I wont blame them, or have it affect the friendship. sh*t, I did not ask for the help in the first place, it was offered. Was supposed to collect the money yesterday, but now when I log on where I meet this person, I usually see that I "just" missed him.

But we are out of food, and even washing powder for the laundry, that needs to be done today.

I dont know what I am going to do about the car. I am running out of lies to tell my parents why I am not coming to them. First it was supposed to be last sunday, then I made it this sunday, as I had a geniune excuse of helping the landlady with catering jobs, then I had to move it to Tuesday coming, and I really dont want to move it again, as I need to go take them to the doctor, etc.

I keep hoping that a miracle will happen.

Ah well.. end of whine

It's always amazing to me that the night before in this
neighborhood it is a Halloween extravaganza...decorations,
parties, peoples... and the next morning... its all gone!

So... Buddy had a bad night again. Fighting, trying to pull out the catheter & IV, insisting he was getting out of there.

He even fell once, but didn't seem to hurt anything.

And no sleep at all.

Mom is on her way to relieve Zen Aunt & then I is going soon to be with Mom. It takes 2 peoples to handle him even in the hopsickle.

Do not know how it would be possible to take care of him at home like this.

Dad says, "Tell Leisa we're leaving at 10 & will see her at Thanksgiving, so she's now in charge."

I says, "COP OUT!!!!"

And no... they ain't going anywhere.

Shaggy is tightroping along the perimeter of the 100 gallon fish tank.

They all go through this.

Last night he was up there & I got him, told him "NO!" and then held him at the side, showing him how deep that water is. Scooby began pitching a fit... talking in a voice we'd never heard before.

I swear he thunk I was gonna drop Shaggy in.

Spirit was by far the worst fishercat. We just knew he was gonna splash some day, but he never did.

We had these really cool colored underwater spotlights back then. They looked like theater spotlights, but you could arrange them underwater. Two of them shined right on this pirate's chest that opened & closed & had a skeleton with a bottle of rum inside.

Anyways... one by one, Spirit killededed all the lights.

Chewed through the cords.

But he did it methodically, like he knowed which cord went to which light.

Reckon he dint like them.

Spoo. We had a second floor deck railing like that in Louisville, too.

Sabor is the one that skeered me most cuz she was never quite as coordinated as the rest of the cats.

Buddy was dozing in a recliner all morning but every time he'd startle awake & not know where he was.
I'd tell him he was in the hospital and everything was fine.

Then he'd look at me & twinkle his eyes & smile & say, "So, is Coldwater Bottom COLD this morning?".

Then he'd ask what Butch was doin today... iffin his ox was in the ditch...

Then he'd go back to sleep.

Sebastian was super coordinated but fergetful he could really tightrope walk across a swingy rope, climb up to a little bed thing 7feet up on his kitty jungle gym then nap in the bed thang with 4 inch high walls and still somehow roll out by accident
