Y'all....

My computer is gonna hafta go in the shop soon and when it does it will prolly be gone a week or two.

It's the power cord... again. This will be the third time now. Plug is 'loose' and will not hold a power connection unless it's in 'just the right spot'.

Anyways... I know it's gonna hafta go back to Sony in California... by way of Best Buy in Jackson. We do have a valid service agreement so it shouldn't cost nothin... cept our time.

Dern it! Sony has this thang where iffin you have the same problem 3 times you get a new computer. But it's 3 times in one year.
It would be super-cool iffin they just gave me a new-model Vaio.

Got the cord duct taped with the plug in just the right spot.

Am wanting to wait to take it when Mom & Dad come back becuz she loves going to Jackson.

And loves retelling the stories of how they usually went once a year near Christmastime & as a girl she thought she was in a really big city.

So... earlier today J was in the kitchen with me, picking her nails nervously (she's been known to pick them completely OFF before

) and we was just talking. yakO, she was talking & I'd sing a song with whatever words she'd used.

Anyways, she finally says, firmly... "I've got two words for you."......

"Hardee har har"

I say, "I think that's 3 words... or is it 4?"

And then we both laughed until we cried.

I read that flu in gereral kills an average of 36,000 people a year in the US alone.

That's 300 a month... 10 per day.
