Sounds a lot like here.  :clap:

I pulled out the cauliflower & broccoli & figure the brussel sprouts don't have long to live either.  :dunno:  The cauliflower FRIED!!!  Right in the sun.   Too bad it wasn't breaded.  :bliss:


But now I gots to figure out what to do with the 150 tomato plants in the Medicine Wheel.  :bliss:

It's sooo hot for transplanting.  :scratch:



Zanna's cucumber!  :excited:  (It most likely was bumpy when it was smaller.... picking them young is the secret to crisp pickles.   We's gonna can some crisp pickles this year iffin I have to put B next to the cucumbers to watch them grow.  :cheer:  )

They can eat a new plant overnight right down to the roots .............. haven't seen them on the red tomatos though (didn't get any to grow because they wer faster eating than me planting :laugh:)

Now I'm into getting them into coffein ...........

Micha... putting diatamaceous earth (sp?) down, iffin it stays dry works better than anything I've done for slugs. If they don't sell it as a garden-thingy there, you can prolly get it in the swimming pool supplies.

The beer-traps are nasty.  :rofl:  I've done it.  :rofl:

Fortunately, we haven't had many slugs around here.  :bliss:

:horn: iron phosphate mixed in a little clay :thumbs: You can even make you own if you really need too :yes:

Iron sulfate works too but the phosphate is better for most soils and it wont hurt no animals :oz:


The diatoms work the same as flour on slugs but it doesn't last very long :dunno:

Thanks, sigster... but I don't use nuthin no more.  :wiggle:  I thank the insects for pointint out which plants are unhappy & then take steps to make the plants happy if I can.  :bliss:  (like right now... the cauliflower is unhappy. :(  But I cain't help it.  It wants the TEMPERATURE turned down.  So...  it becomes a 'tithe' to the Insect Kingdom.  :hail: :rofl: )
