Well recently there has been much better research done and for the most part the miraculous claims have been shown to be true and the secondary failures explained.

If you don't care about the explanation then just purchase AC11 from a reputable dealer. This is a cat's claw extract that has been tested for the important components. It strongly facilitates DNA repair and boosts immunity which are both very important for cancer patients, it also has a strong antiinflammatory effect

Now for the
explanations and important points ...There are two different species Uncaria tomentosa and Uncaria guianensis both with different properties and easy to confuse. Unless you are taking cat's claw specifically for osteo arthritis you want the "tomentosa".
To make matters more difficult U. tomentosa has atleast two different chemotypes ... this means plants of the same species may contain wildly different chemical compositions. In the case of U. tomentosa one produces the nigh miraculous results while the other literally produces additional chemicals to cancel them out.
This means you do NOT want Cat's Claw from "natural" or "Wildcrafted" sources because at best you have a 50:50 chance of getting literally no benefits. Instead the source needs to be from plants that were tested and then cultivated for supplementation.
Below is the text from the Life Extension Foundation cat's calw supplement page. I am NOT recommending you purchase from them but just using the text to point out what you want to look for. Basically you want to see "AC11" as being the contents and nothing about being a generic ... ...
